Edgar G. Mouton, Jr.
Edgar G. “Sonny” Mouton was born in Lafayette and is a graduate of Tulane University and Tulane Law School. He served as State Representative from Lafayette from 1964-1965 and as a State Senator from 1966-1980. He served as President Pro-Tempore of the Senate from 1976-1980. He also served as Executive Counsel to the Governor from 1980-1983 and Special Counsel to the Governor in 1985.
