Foster Campbell
Foster Campbell entered politics in 1975 when he won the District 36 Senate seat and subsequently won six more terms. Mr. Campbell sought the Fourth Congressional District seat in 1988 and 1990. He was elected to a six-year term as the District Five representative on the state Public Service Commission in 2002 and again in 2008. Mr. Campbell established the $1-billion Educational Excellence Fund for local schools from the state tobacco settlement.
