Huntington “Hunt” Downer, Jr.
Major General Huntington “Hunt” Downer has served the State of Louisiana in many capacities, first establishing a law practice in 1972 in Houma, Louisiana, then serving 28 years (seven terms) in the Louisiana House of Representatives and since September 2001 has served as the Assistant Adjutant General of the Louisiana National Guard, a military career he began in 1968 as an enlisted soldier in the U. S. Army Reserves.
