2003 Inductee

Jay Chevalier

Jay Chevalier may be best known for his song, “The Ballad of Earl K. Long.” The ballad sold over 100,000 copies in the State of Louisiana. Many radio stations initially banned the record but later succumbed to its popularity. In 1995 he and fellow Hall of Fame inductee, Sheriff Harry Lee, collaborated on a CD; that same year Chevalier ran for Lieutenant Governor.
