John S. Hunt
Mr. Hunt was a nephew to Huey and Earl Long. He practiced law for over 50 years in Monroe, Louisiana. In 1964 he was appointed to the Louisiana Public Service Commission by Governor John McKeithen and was named chairman in 1965. He retained his seat in 1966 after a successful political campaign. While serving he worked diligently to reduce the cost of electricity and phone services in Louisiana.
