Moon Landrieu
Moon Landrieu was elected to the La. House of Rep. in 1960. In 1966 he was elected as Councilman-at-large for New Orleans and was elected Mayor in 1970 and served until 1978. He served as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Carter. He also served on the 4th Circuit Court of Appeal from 1991-2000. Two of his nine children have followed him into politics.
