Raymond J. Laborde

Served as the Mayor of Marksville for 12 years. He was elected to the state legislature in 1972 and served for 20 years. In 1992 he began the last four years of his political career as the Commissioner of Administration under Governor Edwin Edwards. He was also a member of the 1945 National Championship basketball team at Loyola University.
