Richard “Dick” Guidry

Mr. Guidry is considered the youngest member ever elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives. He won his first seat in the House in 1950 at the age of 21 and served again from 1964 to 1976. He is a pioneer of the South Lafourche Levee District and played a significant role in the establishment of the Lake Field/Lake Long Game and Fish Preserve in Lafourche Parish.
