2010 Inductee

Rodney Alexander
Rodney Alexander was first elected to public office in 1972 as a member of the Jackson Parish Police Jury where he served until 1988. That same year, he was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives, maintaining this seat for 15 years. In this capacity, he served as chairman of the House Health and Welfare Committee. This position gave him the platform to help pass instrumental measures for the state, such as the Louisiana Children’s Health Insurance Program (LaCHIP) legislation. In 2002, Mr. Alexander was elected to the U.S. Congress where he represents the 5th District of Louisiana.
