William J. “Bill” Dodd
Bill Dodd was first elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 1940. In 1943, he went into the U.S. Army as a Private and left the service as a Lieutenant. He was elected as Lt. Governor in 1948 and served two terms under Gov. Earl Long. In 1968, he was elected as State Superintendent of Education and served until 1972.
