Located in the historic L&A Railroad Depot in downtown Winnfield, the Louisiana Political Museum & Hall of Fame is the only museum of its kind in the country dedicated solely to political history. Since opening its doors on August 30, 1993, it has honored over 200 notable political figures who helped shape Louisiana and the nation.
Winnfield—birthplace of Governors Huey P. Long, Oscar K. Allen, and Earl K. Long—has long been called the “Cradle of Louisiana Politics.” The museum captures this rich heritage through exhibits that include campaign memorabilia, photographs, personal items, and video archives.
