Memorial Annex Fund
Theodore L. “Ted” Jones was a staunch supporter of The Louisiana Political Museum. Serving as a longterm Chairman of The Friends of the Louisiana Political Museum Foundation Board, Ted was always eager to grow and enhance our assemblage of Louisiana’s rich political history.
Ted knew the museum had outgrown its capacity. Short on archive space in a donated house from the Allen Family, the Foundation Board was able to purchase the building next door thanks in large part to Ted’s encouragement and negotiating skills.
This solved a great problem but did not add to exhibit space in the museum. Therefore, the next hurdle was to expand the existing museum.
Upon Ted’s untimely death, the Foundation Board established the “Theodore L. ‘Ted’ Jones Memorial Annex Capital Fund Drive” to raise the $1 million needed to build a six-thousand square foot addition to the existing museum to provide the additional space essential to the museums’ growth. The museum is at full capacity at this time. The new wing will be named in honor of Ted.
To help us expand our museum and honor Ted Jones’ legacy, please consider donating to our tax-deductible fund. All donors will be permanently honored on the site. Donors who give $1,000 or more will be permanently honored in bronze.
